58 | MA! WHAT'S FOR DINNER?!

With Mother's Day fast approaching, it was time to whip up something for Mother's Day 2011. This year's cards do not pit sibling vs. sibling, but instead just let your mom know how you feel...

...in the nerdiest way possible.

OR

...the most personal way possible.

(the sentences are customized to list everything that you now love to hate your mom for)

~

Remember to send your mom some mother's day love!

(fyi - mother's day is this sunday may 8!)

PS:  just in case you're curious... what's for dinner? honey kale and tofu with wild rice, and banana fritters with coconut jam.

PPS: hi mom! i hope you didn't see this before mother's day.

56 | THE PERFECT (THANK YOU) PRESENT

LOTUS&ASH was featured on the blog The Present Perfect today. As a paper lover, there is no better feeling than the confirmation that there are other paperphiles out there. Long live letter-writing! I designed two sets of stationery for the blog author - Jessica - and I believe that we might be paper personality soul mates, since I'm dying to make myself matching sets. Jessica needed stationery for shorter, but more formal thank you notes {on the right}, and a set for longer, but more casual correspondence {on the left}, which would include a sparrow motif.   I designed A2 notecards on thick #110 stock, and half-letter sheets on cotton #32 stock to add to her stationery closet.

My favorite part of the suite might be the flock of sparrows on the envelope flap!

Thank you to Jessica, and thank you to paper-lovers worldwide! Happy writing...

40 | PAPER PROCRASTINATION

LOTUS&ASH here, coming to you live (and a-live), from DEADweekendFINALS 2010, perhaps the most exhausting weekend in the life of a Stanford student. The end of Winter Quarter always proves to be the most brutal... which provides even more cause for paper happiness (read: paper procrastination)

So, for all you fellow procrastinators, good luck with your finals, and I now pass on the torch of distraction to you:
